With a smile that soothes the soul
Your wrap me up in you warmth,
Protecting arms holds me close
Whisk away my weeping.

You keep my sanity safe
Shooing away the loneliness lingering,
Your kind eyes full of sympathy
Showering me with affection I desperately need.

Feathered wings taking flight
Clinging close you take me higher,
Whispering softly you inform me
“You’re safe while underneath my wings.”

Your golden aura engulfs me
Giving me the courage I crave,
My protector, my supporter, my savior,
You are my guardian angel.

An Illusionary image in my mind
Drifting throughout my dreams
Become physical arms protecting me
As you live within those I love.

Here's a personal poem I wrote a month ago about my inner guardian angel who may just be an illusion my mind created, but he lives in myself and those that are always there for me. I also wrote this poem to practice using alliteration techniques, and to express something personal.

This is one of the poems I have submitted to The Blue Hour online magazine and Chrysalis. I'm just waiting to hear back from them.
