Angels are overrated.
Demons are cliche.
Bad girls are troublesome.
Good girls are boring.
I’m too poor to be a princess.
I’m too safe to be a damsel.
Your fantasies are out of my league.
Your desires will drown me.
I can’t cook up those specialties.
I can’t clean like magical fairies.
I’m far from perfection.
But I’m happy to have the title of your wife.

I wrote this back in February for my poetry class for V-day. I just sat there thinking of what to write, and then it hit me how cliche and over-used "demons and angels" really are in the romance-genre. So I wrote a realistic poem that states even though I'm not those things, I'm happy to be called "wife" from my fiance.
