Tree of Darkness

This didnt' come out as i wanted it to, but still looks cool all the same. I wanted the background to be darker and omnious looking with swirls that resemble dark clouds, and around the dark tree will be a lighter grey to resemble it glowing. but sadly i failed....

Edit 7/24/2013: I added a lot since the first time I drew this pic. I made it darker, added crows to the tree, eerie eyes in the sky, and the ground is cracking. I couldn't pull off the cracking very well so it may look like roots than cracks, but I tried lol. I may continue to add onto this pic later on in the future but i don't know. But I do like it better than what I had before.
